Tenerife's southwest coast is one of the most reliable places in the world to encounter wild whales and dolphins, with resident pilot whale populations present year-round and common dolphins frequently spotted in the same waters. The yacht holds a full official licence to approach these protected species responsibly, which means you get genuinely close without disturbing the animals. Sightings are extremely common on every departure. While wild marine life can never be guaranteed in nature, the small group size and knowledgeable crew significantly increase the quality of your experience compared to any large boat tour.
Both options use the same beautiful 51-foot sailing yacht with the same professional crew, the same food and drinks, and the same wildlife and snorkel stops. The Shared Experience (from €59 per adult) places you alongside a maximum of 10 guests in total, which already feels spacious and intimate compared to the crowded catamarans you will see at the harbour. The Private Charter (€520 for up to 10 people) means the entire yacht is exclusively yours. No other guests, no compromises on timing, and the freedom to mark a special occasion exactly as you choose. Families, groups of friends, anniversaries, proposals. If the moment matters, the private option is worth every cent.
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and your sense of occasion. Everything else is handled. Food and drinks are served onboard throughout the trip. Snorkelling equipment is provided for the bay stop. Wear light, comfortable clothing and consider a thin layer for the sea breeze, even on warm days. Closed shoes are recommended for boarding, though these can be removed once on deck. Children are welcome on all departures, and infants under 1 year sail entirely free of charge.
The meeting point is Puerto Colón, Gate 0, in Costa Adeje. If you are staying in Costa Adeje or Playa de las Américas, this is a short taxi or an easy walk from the main resort strip. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. The yacht follows a strict timetable and cannot wait for late arrivals. There are cafés nearby where you can relax beforehand. Once you arrive at Gate 0, a crew member will meet you and guide you through boarding. Parking is available at Puerto Colón harbour at approximately €1.20 per hour.
Tenerife has some of the most consistently beautiful weather in Europe, and the vast majority of sailings run exactly as planned. In the rare event that sea conditions make it unsafe to depart, you will be offered the choice of a rescheduled sailing or a full refund. No questions asked. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure, and most bookings only require a small deposit upfront with the balance settled on the day. That means you can secure your preferred date and time slot with complete peace of mind, and only commit fully once you are ready to sail.
