How far in advance should I book my excursion?
We recommend booking at least a couple of days ahead, especially during peak season (October to April) and for popular experiences like sunset tours and boat trips. Availability is limited on most excursions to keep group sizes small, so the earlier you book, the better your chances of getting your preferred date and time.
Are your excursions suitable for families with children?
Most of our excursions welcome families, including children of different ages. Each product page lists the specific age requirements so you can check before booking. If you are unsure whether an excursion is right for your family, send us a message and we will help you find the best fit.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my plans?
We get it, holidays do not always go to plan. Most of our excursions offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time, with a full refund to your original payment method. If you need to reschedule instead, just get in touch and we will do our best to move you to another date.
Is it safe to book and pay online?
Absolutely. All payments are processed through secure, encrypted technology. We do not store your card details at any point. You can book with confidence knowing your information is fully protected. Most excursions require only a small deposit to reserve your spot, with the balance due on the day.
Do you offer hotel pick-up?
Yes. Most of our excursions include free pick-up and drop-off from hotels and accommodation in the main south Tenerife resort areas. When you book, simply add your hotel or Airbnb address and we will confirm your pick-up time and location. If you are staying outside the usual pick-up zones, get in touch and we will see what we can arrange.
Are you fully insured and registered?
Yes. Proper Excursions is operated by Viktor Somogyi, a registered self-employed operator in Spain (NIE: Y5858317R) with Canary Islands Tourist Identification I-0004941.1. We are fully insured and compliant with all local regulations. Every excursion we sell is operated by verified, authorised partners who meet all safety and licensing requirements. You can book with complete peace of mind.
What is your cancellation policy?
Simple. If you need to cancel, just let us know at least 24 hours before your excursion, and you will receive a full refund. No questions asked, no forms to fill in, no hassle. Plans change and we make it easy when they do.
