The tour runs every Tuesday, picking up from across the south of the island from around 08:30, depending on your location. Your multilingual guide travels with the group throughout and brings each stop to life with expert commentary on the history, culture and stories that make these places worth visiting.
The day begins in Candelaria, a beautiful coastal town built around the Basilica of Candelaria, one of the most important religious sites in the Canary Islands. On the seafront, the towering bronze statues of the ancient Guanche kings of Tenerife are an extraordinary sight.
From there, the tour heads to La Orotava, one of the finest examples of traditional Canarian architecture on the island. Cobbled streets, grand colonial mansions, ornate wooden balconies and the famous Casa de Los Balcones. It feels completely different to anything in the south.
Next is Garachico, a beautifully preserved coastal village with a remarkable history. In 1706, a volcanic eruption destroyed much of the town, and the lava flows that remained formed El Caletón, the natural rock pools still used by locals today. Free time here for lunch at a local restaurant your guide recommends.
The final stop is Masca, a remote mountain hamlet hidden in the dramatic valleys of the Teno Rural Park, declared a Site of Ethnographic and Historical Interest. The views from here are breathtaking and the sense of discovery is real.

The tour visits four destinations across a full day. In Candelaria you visit the famous Basilica and the bronze statues of the ancient Guanche kings that line the seafront. In La Orotava you explore the cobbled historic quarter, the grand colonial mansions and the famous Casa de Los Balcones. In Garachico you have free time to walk the historic quarter, visit El Caletón natural rock pools and have lunch at a local restaurant recommended by your guide. The day ends at Masca, a remote mountain hamlet in the Teno Rural Park with dramatic valley and ravine views that are unlike anything else on the island.

Lunch is not included in the ticket price but free time is built into the itinerary in Garachico specifically for this purpose. Your guide will recommend local restaurants where you can sit down for a proper Canarian lunch at your own pace. This is one of the best stops on the tour for food, with fresh seafood, local wines and traditional Canarian dishes available at prices that are noticeably lower than anything in the south. It is worth arriving hungry.
The tour is suitable for most ages and fitness levels. The majority of the day is spent on the coach with walking at each stop. Some areas involve cobbled streets and uneven terrain, particularly in La Orotava and Masca, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The tour is accessible for guests with reduced mobility provided they can board the coach independently. Foldable wheelchairs can be stored in the luggage hold. Children aged 2 to 11 travel at a reduced price and infants aged 0 to 1 travel entirely free.
