Nine hours. A ferry crossing to a different island. Ancient laurel forests, dramatic volcanic rocks, a UNESCO World Heritage national park and a town that Christopher Columbus sailed from in 1492. All in a single day trip from the south of Tenerife.
The tour departs every day except Sunday. Pickup is from across South Tenerife from around 08:20, depending on your location. Your multilingual guide travels with you for the entire day.
The coach boards the ferry at Los Cristianos and crosses to La Gomera. The first stop is the Hermigua Valley, a lush green landscape that feels completely removed from the volcanic south of Tenerife. The scenery here is extraordinary.
From Hermigua, the tour continues to Agulo, a charming hillside village where lunch is served in a traditional local restaurant with fresh Gomeran produce. If conditions allow, lunch is accompanied by a live demonstration of Silbo Gomero, the unique whistled language of La Gomera, declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
After lunch, the tour enters Garajonay National Park, a vast ancient laurel forest and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cool, green, misty and unlike anything you have seen on Tenerife. The stop at Laguna Grande gives you time to take in the scale and atmosphere of this extraordinary place.
The tour then passes the iconic Roque de Agando, one of the most photographed landmarks on the island, before arriving in San Sebastián, the island’s capital. Here you follow in the footsteps of Christopher Columbus, visiting the Torre del Conde and the Casa Colón before heading back to the ferry and home.
Bring your passport or ID card. Boarding the ferry is required, and guests without valid documentation will be refused. Children aged 0 to 4 travel free. Languages vary by day. English is always available. For other languages, contact us before booking to confirm availability.
A full day on La Gomera, completely different to Tenerife.
Ancient laurel forests at Garajonay, unlike anything else in the Canary Islands.
Fresh Gomeran food with a possible live Silbo Gomero demonstration.

The Roque de Agando is a dramatic volcanic rock formation and one of the island's most photographed landmarks. San Sebastián, the capital, is where Christopher Columbus resupplied his ships before sailing to the Americas in 1492.
