The day begins at Teide National Park, the volcanic heart of Tenerife and home to the highest peak in Spain. The landscape here is unlike anything else in Europe. Ancient lava fields, dramatic rock formations and the towering silhouette of El Teide rising above it all. You stop at the famous Roques de García for around 30 minutes to take it in properly.
From Teide the tour descends to Icod de los Vinos, a charming Canarian town home to El Drago Milenario, one of the oldest and most extraordinary trees on earth. Said to be over 800 years old, it is one of those things that genuinely stops you in your tracks. Free time here for lunch at one of the local restaurants your guide recommends.
Next comes Garachico, a beautifully preserved coastal village with a remarkable history. In 1706, a volcanic eruption destroyed much of the town, and the lava flows that remained formed the natural rock pools of El Caletón, still used by locals today. The historic quarter is recognised as a Cultural Heritage Site and is one of the most charming corners of the Canary Islands.
The final stop is Masca. Tucked between dramatic valleys and ravines in the Teno Rural Park, this remote mountain hamlet is declared a Site of Ethnographic and Historical Interest. The views from here are breathtaking, and the sense of discovery is real.

The tour visits four destinations across a full day. At Teide National Park you stop for around 30 minutes to take in the volcanic landscape and the iconic Roques de García rock formations. In Icod de los Vinos you have free time to see El Drago Milenario, one of the oldest trees on earth, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant recommended by your guide. In Garachico you explore the historic quarter and the famous natural rock pools formed by ancient lava flows. The day ends at Masca, a remote mountain hamlet in the Teno Rural Park with dramatic valley views. Your guide provides expert commentary throughout every stop.
Hotel pickup is included from across the south of Tenerife. Your exact pickup time depends on your location and will be confirmed at the time of booking. The tour departs from around 08:45 and runs for approximately eight hours in total. Upon booking, confirm your hotel or accommodation with us and we will send you your pickup time, exact location and a contact number for the day. The tour runs every day except Sunday, so please keep that in mind when choosing your date.
Lunch is not included in the standard ticket price but free time is built into the itinerary in Icod de los Vinos specifically for this purpose. Your guide will recommend local restaurants in the area where you can enjoy a proper sit-down Canarian lunch at your own pace. This is a good opportunity to try local dishes and wines in a genuine Canarian town rather than a tourist restaurant. If you would prefer to have lunch included and taken care of, contact us at the time of booking and we can arrange this as an add-on.
The tour is suitable for most fitness levels as the majority of the day is spent on the coach with walking at each stop. Some stops involve uneven terrain or gentle slopes, particularly at Teide National Park and Masca village, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended for all guests. The tour is accessible for guests with reduced mobility provided they are able to board the coach independently. Foldable wheelchairs and mobility aids can be stored in the coach luggage hold. Children aged 2 to 11 travel at a reduced price and infants aged 0 to 1 travel entirely free.
